The 2023 Gamla Sangiovese features attractive fruit aromas of raspberries
and cherries, layered with enticing characters of dried cranberries,
potpourri, juniper, tobacco and spice. With medium body, the wine
displays satisfying flavor and a bit of tannin typical to the variety.
Enjoyable now, the 2023 Gamla Sangiovese will improve in the bottle for a
few years and remain in outstanding drinking condition for six to eight
years from harvest. Try pairing the wine with spiced roast lamb, grilled
chicken with fresh tomato salsa, or a heartly bowl of lentil stew.

The 2023 Gamla Sangiovese was produced from Sangiovese grapes grown
in vineyards located in the northern Golan Heights. The wine aged for 12
months in French oak barrels.
